Harriet Lefkoff
February 24, 1919 - June 16, 2010
Harriet Lefkoff, 91, died on June 16th at The Oaks, under the care of Hospice Savannah. Ms. Lefkoff was born in Hoboken, New Jersey and raised in Morristown, New Jersey. She began her business career with the Girl Scouts of America Headquarters in New York City and subsequently moved to Pasadena, California where she spent over 30 years with the Bank of America, retiring as a bank officer in 1981. In 1993, she moved to The Landings where she was a member of the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's group and the Landings Landlovers.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Ernske and is survived by her niece, Phyllis Albertson of Savannah; a grand niece, Hilary Albertson Geha Oliver and their children Andrew, Jared, Sam and Madeline also of Savannah and a grand nephew, Timothy Albertson Naomi and their son Cooper Lee Albertson of Jackson, Wyoming.
The family would like to express special thanks to Priscila Collins and the staff at The Oaks facility at The Marshes for their attentive and loving care the past two and half years.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Reverend Jim Giddens in the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church Sanctuary on Friday June 25th at 11:00. Interment will be in the church Memorial Garden.
